The Return of the Blog
It’s been a hot minute since I’ve updated things on here. BUT! I’ve made a commitment to myself to be better at documenting our life so here I am taking a stab at blogging again. This time, more thoroughly ;)
This year, I am focusing on being honest and transparent about struggles, triumphs, and everything in between. Because the world can use more of it.
I figured I would start with a month in review post. Mostly because I am not in a creative enough mood to come up with anything more interesting.
In the spirit of transparency, last month we took a dip financially. Which is to be expected after quitting old toxic work environments, starting new businesses, and moving into a new apartment. We definitely went into sheer panic mode, but it pushed us to do things we’ve been saying we wanted to do anyway.
Take new product photos of our inventory over at KOKO.
Offer makeup and photoshoots - and actually charge people!
Upcycle thrift store furniture and sell it!
And, of course, eat ramen.
Ultimately, we made rent and we were able to buy groceries! Plus, we realized we can make some money doing things we love. Together. And that is an awesome feeling.
This month, it’s just time to do it all over again.
Wish us luck!!
