Current Skincare Routine (Dealing with Adult Acne)
As y'all may or may not know, ya girl has adult acne! It's something I've dealt with for the last four years and it suuuuuuuucks. Let my tell you, I have tried ALL the acne kits on the market and so far, this combo of products coupled with taking birth control has gotten my skin to the best it's been in a long while!
Step 1: Makeup remover
If I have on a full face of makeup I use my MAC Cleanse Off oil (a few pumps on DRY skin first and then a couple pumps mixed with a little water usually does the trick). If I am not at full glam level of makeup (or if I am the tiredest girl in all the land) I will use one of the Skinfood Rice Tissues. These work well, are super cheap, and come with 80, EIGHTY I said, wipes.
Step 2: Cleanser
I rotate through cleansers pretty quick but these are my current favs. I use a scrub every morning (it helps my makeup look soooo much better). This one I keep in the shower. And this one I keep near my sink. Because I'm just that extra 😉 At night I use this cleanser with my fav Clinique Sonic Brush.
Step 3: Chemical Exfoliant & Acne Treatment
I am a BIG fan of chemical exfoliants! They work magic on my skin. This one is my current choice, but I have my eye on this bad boy once my Paula's Choice runs out. Now...DRUM ROLL PLEASE...Clinique Acne Solutions Clinical is my JAM!! This stuff is a miracle worker and if you got pesky bumps like me you need it. Trust me.
Step 4: Moisturize
For my daytime moisturizer, I've been using this. Gotta get that sunscreen in! Nighttime, I use this one. And a new addition - this lip mask. I am in love with it. It has transformed my crusty, chapped lips to plump soft pillows of joy. Aaaaand last but not least is my eye cream. I love this stuff. I have quite the crinkly undereyes and this stuff helps big time!
Well there you have it folks! This is what works best for ME! Aka it may not be the best for you, but give them a try if you're also on the adult acne struggle bus.
If y'all have any reccomendations for me to try PLEASE let me know in the comments! I'd loved to completely be rid of this acne.
